Are you excited about the return of Acura’s Type S Performance division?
It’s finally here! Meet the 2021 Acura TLX which is also marking the return of the brand’s Type S performance-arm. The 2021 Acura TLX will feature a model-exclusive body structure,
chassis architecture, double-wishbone front suspension, and a full turbo engine lineup – all of which Acura says will make the new TLX the “quickest, best-handling and most well-appointed sport sedan in Acura history.”
The Acura TLX Type S will hit dealers next spring and will be powered by the brand’s new 3.0L turbocharged V6 engine. Acura has yet to confirm official
horsepower and torque figures but it is expected to come in around 350-hp. The regular
2021 TLX will feature a 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder making 272-hp (an increase of 66-hp) and 280 lb-ft of torque.
Design-wise, the new 2021 Acura TLX features a 3.7-inch longer wheelbase and a 2.2-inch wider body. I think it looks spectacular.
Adding the A-Spec Sport Package will give you an even more dynamic look with Diamond Pentagon grille and larger side air intakes and two 20-inch
wheels designs. The interior has also been completely redesigned to bring it closer to Acura’s new design theme seen on the RDX.
